Fox - Bald Eagles

Fox River - Bald Eagles

Back in late February or early March, I discovered that the eagles who nest on the Fox River here in Appleton, WI, had three adults tending the nest. In April, there were signs of new life in the nest. On July 15, I was walking on the opposite side of the river from the nest and heard a racket coming from up in the trees.

What I discovered were two fledglings squawking at each other. Soon one of the adult eagles flew over to watch over the “argument". This is one of the shots I got.

It was a cool experience not only because of getting the shot, but also because I was able to answer some questions about the birds that a passing family had.
